Loan fair camps to boost self employment in Tiruvannamalai

Special loan fair camps will be conducted across Tiruvannamalai district to promote self-employment, education and women’s economic advancement, District Collector K. Tharpagaraj said.
The camps are being organised under various loan assistance schemes implemented by the Tamil Nadu Minorities Economic Development Corporation and the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation for the economic uplift of backward classes, most backward classes and minority communities. Applications will be received for personal loans, small business loans for self-help groups, artisan loans, education loans, microfinance loans for women under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, the New Golden Era Scheme for Women and milch cow loans.
The camps will be held on December 22 at Tiruvannamalai and Vandavasi taluk offices; December 23 at Cheyyar and Polur taluk offices; December 24 at Sethpet and Kalasapakkam taluk offices; December 26 at Arani and Chengam taluk offices; and December 29 at Thandarampattu taluk office.
All camps will function from 10.30 am to 5 pm. Applicants must submit caste or religion certificate, Aadhaar card, income certificate, family card, residence proof and details of the proposed business or project report.
Those seeking vehicle loans must submit a valid driving licence, along with other documents required by cooperative banks. For education loans, applicants should enclose copies of transfer certificate, bonafide certificate, tuition fee receipt or challan and mark sheets.
The Collector appealed to eligible beneficiaries from backward classes, most backward classes and minority communities, including Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains in Tiruvannamalai district, to make full use of the opportunity and apply with the necessary documents.
