According to reports, the young man had recently divorced his wife, returning 120 grams of gold jewellery and Rs18 lakh that were part of the marriage. Following the settlement, his mother decided to celebrate the end of the marriage and the start of a new chapter by conducting a traditional ritual at home.
A video of the celebration — showing the mother applying turmeric and sandal paste to her son, dressing him in new clothes, and feeding him cake — has gone viral on social media.
The man later posted online that he was “single and happy” after his divorce, sharing pictures from the celebration. His post has drawn thousands of reactions, with many netizens praising his positive attitude and his mother’s supportive approach.
