The Tamil Nadu government paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 79th death anniversary at the Government Museum in Egmore on Thursday.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and offered floral tributes to his portrait. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Ministers P.K. Sekar Babu and Ma. Subramanian, along with senior officials and party functionaries, also paid their respects. Following the tribute, a pledge to eradicate untouchability was administered under the leadership of the Chief Minister, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the principles of equality and social justice.
