The music launch ceremony of the Tamil film Jana Nayagan created history on Sunday by being officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the most attended music release event ever held in the country.
Jana Nayagan is directed by H. Vinoth and stars Vijay in the lead role.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on January 9, coinciding with the Pongal festival.
The grand audio launch was held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, which has a seating capacity of around 30,000.
The event witnessed a massive turnout of fans, along with actors, actresses and film personalities associated with the project, turning the venue into a sea of enthusiastic supporters.
Organisers confirmed that the unprecedented crowd attendance led to the event being entered into the Malaysia Book of Records, marking a rare achievement for a Tamil film’s overseas promotional event.
The record-setting launch has further raised expectations for Jana Nayagan, which is among the most eagerly awaited Tamil releases of the festive season.
