Man leaves apology note and Rs 200 after damaging bike light

An incident in which an unidentified person left an apology note along with Rs 200 after accidentally damaging a motorcycle’s tail light at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai has drawn widespread attention on social media.
The hospital, one of the largest government medical facilities in Tamil Nadu, receives thousands of patients and visitors every day from across the State and neighbouring regions. Many visitors who arrive on two-wheelers park their vehicles within the hospital premises before entering the wards.
A man who had come to visit a relative admitted to the hospital parked his motorcycle in the premises and went inside. When he returned after some time, he noticed that the rear red light of his vehicle had been damaged.
While examining the bike, he discovered a small piece of paper rolled up inside the helmet placed on the vehicle. On opening it, he found a note written in English that read, “Sorry for breaking the bike light.” Along with the note were two Rs 100 currency notes, apparently left to cover the repair cost.
The vehicle owner said he was moved by the unexpected gesture and shared the incident on social media with a photograph of the note and money. The post has since received appreciation online, with many users praising the stranger’s honesty and sense of responsibility.
