Mandhana’s haldi turns festive with teammates’ dance before big day

Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana, who dazzled in the recent Cricket World Cup with 434 runs in nine matches, is set to marry Bollywood music composer Palash Muchhal tomorrow (Nov. 23).
The couple, who have been in a long-standing relationship, recently exchanged rings, confirming their engagement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also sent a congratulatory message to both families, wishing them a joyful married life.
With the wedding just a day away, celebrations have begun in full swing.

The traditional haldi ceremony was held yesterday evening at Mandhana’s residence, transforming the space into a lively, yellow-hued celebration.
A group of her close teammates — Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil, Renuka Singh, Shivali Shinde, Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav, and Jemimah Rodrigues — attended the ceremony, all dressed in coordinated yellow outfits.
Their energetic dance performances and light-hearted banter added a festive sparkle to the evening.
Videos from the ceremony quickly caught fans’ attention, especially a clip shared by Shafali Verma captioned “Ladki Wale”, showing the players dancing with the bride-to-be.
The cheerful pre-wedding mood, combined with the presence of her cricket family, made the haldi ceremony a warm and spirited
affair.
Mandhana’s much-awaited wedding will take place tomorrow, marking a memorable new beginning for the star batter.
