Maxwell Charitable Trust and United College of Arts and Science (UCAS), Coimbatore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen social service and community welfare activities.
The Trust, which has been actively involved in social service initiatives over the past four years, has partnered with the college to expand its outreach and extend greater support to society through academic collaboration. The association aims to involve students and faculty in various community-oriented programmes, awareness drives and welfare activities.
The MoU was signed at the college premises by Dr A. Vijaya, Principal of United College of Arts and Science, and Dr M. Murugan, Founder of Maxwell Charitable Trust.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Dr R. Thangavel, IQAC Director of UCAS, Heads of Departments, and Trust committee members Ms Maheshwari, Mr Jaijalan and Mr Jameer Ahamed.
College authorities said the partnership would help instil social responsibility among students, while Trust representatives expressed confidence that the collaboration would lead to meaningful contributions towards social welfare and inclusive community development.
