Public Works, Highways and Minor Ports Minister E.V. Velu on Monday personally distributed house site pattas to 16 beneficiaries from the Poompoom cattle breeders community of Radhapuram village in Thandarampattu taluk of Tiruvannamalai district.
Members of the community had earlier submitted a petition seeking housing pattas to secure permanent shelter. Acting on their request, the Minister initiated necessary steps to process and approve the applications.
The pattas were handed over at the Minister’s camp office in Tiruvannamalai. Beneficiaries expressed happiness as their long-pending demand for house sites was fulfilled.
Members of the community conveyed their gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government and the Minister for facilitating land ownership and extending timely support to improve their living conditions.
Thandarampattu Taluk Tahsildar Thurairaj was present during the distribution programme.
