A 26-year-old youth, Iraianbu, was killed after a car belonging to Tamil Nadu Minister Jagadeeswari’s family hit his two-wheeler near Kattankulathur in Chengalpattu district early Monday.
Jagadeeswari was travelling from Virudhunagar to Chennai to attend the Assembly session. Her family members were travelling in a separate car.
The accident occurred near Kattankulathur when the car collided with Iraianbu’s two-wheeler. He died at the spot.
Traffic police seized the car and registered a case over the accident. The driver, Chinna Agni, was arrested. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
