In a bizarre incident, a man walked into a police station in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh with a pressure cooker, complaining that the mutton he purchased did not cook even after 20 whistles.
Sothala Haji, a resident of Dadipatri, approached the local police station alleging that he had been cheated by a butcher.
He claimed that despite prolonged cooking, the mutton remained uncooked, raising suspicion about its quality.
Police Inspector Arohana Rao inquired into the matter after Haji insisted on filing a complaint. Haji explained that he had bought the meat for a post-Ugadi family feast, but it failed to cook even after repeated attempts.
The butcher was summoned to the station, but he arrived on his own after learning about the issue. He clarified that such problems can occur if the goat is older, which can make the meat tougher and harder to cook.
To resolve the issue, the butcher agreed to provide one kilogram of mutton free of cost as compensation. Both parties accepted the settlement and left the station.
The unusual complaint has since gone viral on social media.
