Nainar Nagendran Submits Memorandum to Governor Against TVK Government

Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran on Friday submitted a memorandum to Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, alleging deterioration in the State’s law and order situation and raising corruption-related complaints against the ruling TVK government. BJP national in-charge Arvind Menon and senior leader Narayanan Thirupathy accompanied him.
Speaking to reporters, Nainar Nagendran alleged that Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan had acted inappropriately towards children and sought action over the participation of Vishnu Reddy and John Arokiasamy in a TVK Cabinet meeting. He claimed that within 54 days of the TVK government assuming office, Tamil Nadu had witnessed 151 sexual assault cases, over 85 murders and more than 80 narcotics smuggling incidents.
He demanded that the government release a White Paper on the State’s law and order situation and accused it of failing to act against ruling party members facing criminal allegations.
Nainar Nagendran also criticised Law and Energy Resources Minister C. T. R. Nirmal Kumar over his remarks regarding the Tirupparankundram court order and alleged that complaints had been received claiming bribes ranging from Rs.5 lakh to Rs.25 lakh were sought for appointing government advocates.
