Admit cards for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) will be released on Sunday, ahead of the examination scheduled to be held on May 3.
The National Testing Agency conducts NEET annually for admissions to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, Siddha and Ayurveda. Admission to both government and private medical colleges is based on the scores obtained in this examination.
This year, around 28 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam across the country, including nearly 2 lakh students from Tamil Nadu.
The NEET examination will be held for a duration of three hours, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Examination centres have been set up in major cities, including Chennai, with arrangements being made to ensure smooth conduct.
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website once released. The hall ticket will contain essential details such as the candidate’s name and the full address of the examination centre.
Students have been advised to check the location of their allotted centres in advance and plan their travel accordingly, as some centres may be located far from their place of residence.
