The President of Makkal Sindhanai Peravai state president T Stalin Gunasekaran appealed to non resident Tamils to assist in the development of science and technology in TN.
T. Stalin Gunasekaran participated as a special guest at the science conference held in Tokyo on Saturday on behalf of the Japan branch of the Peravai. He said:
Many scientists who have made a deep impression in some foreign countries, including Japan, are involved in advanced scientific research. The Japan branch of the Peravai has identified and recognized 45 such Japanese Tamil scientists in the last three years by giving them letters of appreciation. The council is also engaged in the work of coordinating such qualified
scientists.
The outstanding Tamil scientists in such foreign countries should come forward to provide great cooperation for the development of Tamil Nadu.
He said that the government and social welfare organizations should make full efforts to develop science in Tamil soil by making full use of such leading neighboring Tamil scientific personalities.
At this event, T.Stalin Gunasekaran presented letters of appreciation to 15 scientists who have completed their doctorate in Japan and are conducting research. 12 senior scientists from Japan delivered speech at the conference. Senior scientist T.V. Venkateswaran delivered the valedictory address.
The program was led by Peravai functionaries S.Kamalakannan, V. Krishnasamy, M.Gunaseelan, and Sreenivasan.
