Bengaluru, Sept. 22:
In a startling revelation, a man from Karnataka, popularly known as ‘Oil Kumar’, has been living for more than three decades by drinking engine oil instead of regular food. His unusual habit has left doctors baffled and the public shocked.
A video that went viral on social media recently shows the 45-year-old devotee of Lord Ayyappa from Mysuru casually drinking engine oil used for vehicles while speaking. Lakhs of viewers have watched the clip, with many expressing disbelief and amazement at his endurance.
According to reports, Kumar consumes seven to eight liters of engine oil every single day. He does not eat conventional meals and instead relies entirely on oil for all three meals. Despite this dangerous practice, he insists that he has never been admitted to a hospital nor suffered health problems. He even continues his annual pilgrimage to the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple without difficulty.
Medical experts, however, warn that engine oil is extremely harmful to the human body. Doctors point out that it contains polycyclic hydrocarbons that can cause cancer, while heavy metals such as iron, aluminum, copper, and lead severely damage the lungs, liver, kidneys, and nervous system. Prolonged intake or even inhalation can lead to respiratory distress, diarrhea, and long-term organ failure.
Yet, defying all medical logic, ‘Oil Kumar’ appears to remain unaffected. His survival without illness, despite consuming toxic oil for decades, has left both the scientific community and the general public astonished.
