The Erode district administration has invited applications from small traders seeking temporary licences to sell firecrackers for the 2026 Deepavali festival.
According to Collector S. Gandhasamy, arrangements have been made for traders to apply online and obtain licences in advance so that they can commence their business before Deepavali.
Applicants can submit their applications through public e-Seva centres along with the field map of the proposed firecracker shop, sale deed, address proof such as Aadhaar or ration card, property tax payment receipt, passport-size photograph and receipt for payment of the prescribed service fee of ₹600 under account head 0070-60-103AA-22799.
Applications can be submitted up to October 18, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances, the Collector said.
Applicants will be able to obtain the temporary licence online if their applications are approved. In case of rejection, the rejection order will also be made available through the online portal, the administration said.
