The Ontario Legislature in Canada honoured Advocate Dr. Ram Sankar Raja, Secretary of the Delhi Tamil Advocates Association and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, for his distinguished service in the field of law and his contribution to the Tamil community.
Mr. Logan Kanapathi, MPP, welcomed and honoured Dr. Ram Sankar Raja at the Ontario Legislature on behalf of the Province of Ontario.
A Certificate of Appreciation recognised his dedication to law, commitment to justice and efforts to serve the Tamil community. It also appreciated his leadership in strengthening legal and social ties and conveyed best wishes for his continued service.
During his visit to Canada, Dr. Ram Sankar Raja met representatives of various Tamil organisations, including the Canadian Tamil Association, World Tamil Research Conference, World Tamil Teachers Conference and Tamil Schools Association.
He said the Delhi Tamil Advocates Association would continue contributing to the development of Tamil in countries where Tamils live. He added that he was visiting different countries to personally encourage Tamils who excel in the language and serve its cause, with the aim of inspiring the next generation.
