Over 11,000 Petitions Resolved in Chengam Under ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ Scheme

As part of the state-wide “Ungaludan Stalin” initiative launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, public grievance redressal camps are being actively conducted across Tiruvannamalai district to ensure quick and effective solutions to citizens’ issues.

Tiruvannamalai District Collector K. Tharpagaraj, IAS, on Wednesday inspected one such camp held at the Appa Amma Wedding Hall in Chengam Municipality. Chengam MLA M.P. Giri presided over the event. During his visit, the Collector reviewed the petitions submitted by the public and instructed officials to process them without delay.

Speaking to reporters, Collector Tharpagaraj said that the “Ungaludan Stalin” camps are progressing successfully across the district with active public participation. “So far, over 50,000 petitions have been received in Tiruvannamalai district. In Chengam block alone, 15 camps have been conducted, and more than 11,000 petitions have already been resolved,” he said.

He further urged all departmental officers to handle every petition with dedication to deliver genuine relief to the people.

During the camp, the Collector distributed certificates to beneficiaries whose petitions were resolved on the spot. These included land title transfer certificates, family ration cards, 100-day job cards under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, and assistance bonds under the Girl Child Welfare Scheme.

Revenue Divisional Officer Rajkumar, Chengam Taluk Officer, District Development Officers, and several departmental officials participated in the event.
