A women’s inter-collegiate hockey tournament, conducted under the aegis of Bharathi University, Coimbatore, was held at Tiruppur Chikkanna Government Arts College on December 18 and 19.
The tournament was inaugurated by College Principal Krishnan and District Sports Officer Ragukumar. A total of 12 women’s teams participated.
After the league matches, PKR Arts College, Gobi Government Arts College, Bharathiar University, and GVG College advanced to the league stage.
In the final, PKR Arts College emerged as the champions. Notably, the PKR College team has been consistently securing the first position for the past 18 consecutive years.
