Poisoned milkshake murder daughter held after boyfriend reveals crime

e has come to light in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district, where a head constable was allegedly killed by his own daughter by mixing poison in a milkshake, with the crime surfacing nearly a year later.
Jayant Pallavar, a head constable, collapsed and died on March 25, 2023, while on duty near the Chandrapur District Collectorate.
The death was initially treated as natural. However, fresh investigations have now revealed it to be a planned murder.
Police said Arya, the daughter of Jayant Pallavar, was in a relationship with Ashish Shetmade since 2022. Jayant Pallavar had reportedly opposed their marriage, leading to tension within the family.
On the day of the incident, Arya allegedly served a milkshake laced with poison to her father before he left for work.
Shortly after consuming it, he collapsed at his workplace and died.
Following his death, Arya secured a job in the police department on compassionate grounds and underwent training.
The case took a dramatic turn after Arya and Ashish Shetmade reportedly separated.
Police said Ashish Shetmade later approached authorities and shared crucial evidence related to the murder.
Based on this, police reopened the case and re-examined the autopsy report, which confirmed poisoning. During interrogation, Arya confessed to the
crime.
She has since been dismissed from service and arrested. Further investigation is underway.
