A police driver in Andhra Pradesh has been suspended after a video of him dancing obscenely with women at a village festival went viral on social media.
Ajay Kumar, a resident of Gandhi Konda in Gangipadu, Krishna district, worked as a driver for Inspector Murali Krishna of the Gandhipadu Police Station.
During the recent Konthenamma festival in his village, a troupe of women performed an obscene dance dressed in revealing costumes.
Ajay Kumar reportedly climbed onto the stage and danced with the performers. Members of the public recorded the act and uploaded the video online, where it quickly spread across platforms.
Following the outrage, senior police officials reviewed the footage and ordered Ajay Kumar’s suspension.
Sources said this was not his first such incident, as he had allegedly participated in similar obscene dance events in the past.
