Polling officials told to return money to people having proper documents

The flying and static team polling officials told to return money to people having proper documents and after they show it, said collector S Kandasamy.
He told newsmen: The district has 17.40 lakh voters after SIR and after that 12000 were included after verification.
Till last date of filing of nomination, one can submit form 6 for inclusion in the voters list.
However, 10 days are needed for verification. So, people who want inclusion of their names in the voters list should file their Form 6 now itself. There are 11000 polling staff in the district. Training will be given to all and postal ballot will be given to them in the first training class itself
For those in essential service, defence personnel and staff having votes in other districts also, postal ballot will be given and collected by making special arrangements.
In all 2329 polling stations, web casting facilities will be made to monitor the booth and outdide the booth by election officials.
Of Rs 56 lakh seized from people, Rs 36 lakh were returned. The squads were told to return the money if the people have proper documents or return it after they show the documents to the committee concerned.
Public can lodge complaints to the monitoring officers who arrived to the district. 20 nodal officers were appointed for each work related to the election with giving training to them. Awareness programs to ask people to vote will continue till election date. 76 percent polling was recorded last time. This time we want to ensure over 90 percent polling.
Training will be given to candidates on how to prepare election expenditure details as materials have already received. Around 73 booths in 55 locations were found sensitive.
Of 24000 diffables in the district, 11000 found in the voters list. However, eligible voters will be given form 12D to vote from their homes itself.
