Pre-wedding dispute turns fatal for bride

What was meant to be a day of celebration turned into a shocking tragedy in Bhavnagar last night. Sajan Khagna Baraiya (25) allegedly killed his bride-to-be, Soni Himmat Rathod (22), just an hour before their scheduled wedding.
The couple, who had been in a live-in relationship for a year, got into a heated argument around 9 p.m. over a wedding saree.
The dispute escalated to a confrontation about expenses and money. In a fit of rage, Sajan reportedly attacked Soni, causing fatal injuries. He fled the scene soon after. Police led by Inspector Rajesh Patel recovered Soni’s body and sent it for post-mortem. A case of murder has been filed, and a search is underway to locate the accused, who remains absconding.
