PSG College of Nursing holds 26th Graduation Ceremony

PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore, conducted its 26th Graduation Ceremony at the PSG IMS&R Auditorium on May 29 for the undergraduate 2021 batch and postgraduate 2023 batch students.
The ceremony was presided over by L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG Sons’ Charities.
Prof. Dr. Bimla Kapoor, former Director of the School of Health Sciences at Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and Chairperson of the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill, attended the event as the chief guest. Dr. Judith Angelitta Noronha, Professor and Dean of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, was the guest of honour.
A total of 97 undergraduate students and 15 postgraduate students received their degree certificates during the ceremony.
Donald Jean D. of the 2021 batch received the Best Outgoing Graduate Award. Various awards including Subject Topper, Class Topper, Best Academic, Best Clinical Nurse, Best Researcher, Best SNA Member, Best NSS Volunteer, Best YRC Volunteer, Best Sportsman and Best Sportswoman were also presented.
Addressing the graduates, the dignitaries congratulated them on successfully completing their nursing education and wished them success in their professional careers. Dr. Bimla Kapoor highlighted the important role nurses play in healthcare and patient care, while Dr. Judith Angelitta Noronha encouraged the graduates to uphold professionalism, compassion and lifelong learning in their careers.
The institution stated that the graduation ceremony reflected the college’s continued commitment towards nurturing skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals under the legacy of PSG Sons’ Charities.
An alumni reunion was also organised on the same day. Kavitha Vijay, NQAS National Assessor, National Health Mission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, participated as the chief guest for the event.
Dr. Jeyadeepa R., Principal of PSG College of Nursing, said the institution would continue its mission of shaping competent healthcare leaders committed to service and excellence.
