PSG Hospitals, through its PSG Institute of Oncology in association with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, has launched the PSG Advanced Lymphedema Care Clinic on April 18, 2026.
The initiative marks a significant step in offering specialised and comprehensive care for patients affected by lymphedema, particularly cancer survivors who require long-term rehabilitation and sustained medical support.
A one-day workshop titled “A Comprehensive Approach to Lymphedema: Prevention and Management Protocols” was held following the inauguration. The session was led by Nileshkumar Elangovan, Physiotherapist at the Indian Council of Medical Research – National Institute of Viral and Cancer Research, who highlighted the importance of early detection, preventive measures and advanced management techniques for the condition.
The workshop saw active participation from healthcare professionals, physiotherapists and students, facilitating knowledge sharing and raising awareness on improving patient outcomes.
With this initiative, PSG Hospitals has reinforced its commitment to advanced, patient-centred care and the promotion of rehabilitation and supportive oncology services.
