PSG College of Technology will host “The Confluence 2026”, a Research, Innovation and Technology Summit, on Saturday, February 7, at 9 am at the Centenary Auditorium on the PSG Tech campus.
The summit is being organised under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council and aims to bring together academia and industry to deliberate on innovation, emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.
The programme will feature panel discussions by leading academicians and industry experts, along with keynote addresses by prominent leaders from the corporate and policy-making sectors.
The event will also include hands-on workshops, idea pitching sessions, poster presentations and an innovators’ exhibition, providing a platform for students, researchers and professionals to exchange ideas and explore collaborative
opportunities.
The inaugural function will be graced by Amitabh Kant, IAS (Retd.), former India’s G20 Sherpa and former Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog, as the Chief Guest.
He is widely recognised as the architect of the Make in India initiative and a key driving force behind the Startup India and Incredible India campaigns, and has played a significant role in shaping India’s innovation and economic policies.
R. Kumaravelu, Managing Director of AQUA Group, will participate as the Guest of Honour.
The programme will be presided over by Dr. K. Prakasan, Principal of PSG College of Technology.
The organisers said The Confluence 2026 is expected to serve as a key platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing and collaboration between academia and industry on emerging trends in research, innovation and technology.
