In a proud moment for PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, two NCC cadets of the institution represented the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman–Nicobar (TN, P & AN) Directorate at the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) held in New Delhi in 2026.
Sgt. Akshatha B, a second-year B.Sc. Physics student, and Sgt. Swathi S.D., a second-year B.Sc. Botany student, were selected to participate in the Republic Day Camp, one of the highest honours in the National Cadet Corps.
Selection to the RDC is considered a rare achievement, earned through exceptional discipline, leadership skills, physical endurance and a strong commitment to national service. Only a select number of cadets from across the country are chosen to represent their respective directorates at the national level.
By representing the TN, Puducherry and Andaman–Nicobar Directorate at the national capital, the cadets brought laurels to PSGR Krishnammal College for Women and added to its legacy of excellence.
The college administration and NCC unit congratulated the cadets for their outstanding performance and dedication, describing their achievement as a source of pride for the institution and the state.
