PSGR Krishnammal College for Women organised EVANZA 2026, a two-day fashion showcase and intercollegiate fest, on February 12 and 13 under the aegis of the Department of Costume and Apparel Design.
The Attire Show featured 150 exclusive garments presented in 15 rounds by students of B.Voc Garment Designing, Community College–Garment Designing, B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion, and M.Sc Fashion and Apparel Design. Students from various departments modelled the creations, while the Beauty and Wellness Department handled makeup and hairstyling.
Dr Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, GRG Institutions, inaugurated the event. Shri Murugan Thenkondar, President and Head, Global Business Development, Grasim Industries Ltd., Mumbai, delivered the special address. The event report was presented by Dr Shanthi Radhakrishnan, Dean, Costume and Apparel Design, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr R. Divya, Head, Costume Design and Fashion.
The Kids Show and Thematic Show were judged by Anupama Marimuthu, M. Varunya Devi and Radha Nandaki.
The afternoon session was evaluated by Dr V. Kavitha and Shilpa Sudharsan. Roopa Mohandas, President, Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, graced the valediction, with Principal Dr P. B. Harathi delivering the welcome address.
On February 13, intercollegiate events including Trash to Trend, Mode Mastermind, Fashion Forge, Drape Dynasty and Couture Crescendo were conducted. Judges included Dr Isvarya, Sindhu Sugumaran, Thamizharasan and C. K. Varsha. Uma Balajee was the chief guest for the valedictory function. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by A. Yamunadevi.
