Two National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women brought pride to the institution by participating in the Republic Day Parade 2026 at both national and state levels.
Ms. Shri Suruthi, a second-year B.A. English Literature student and NSS volunteer, had the rare honour of taking part in the National Republic Day Parade held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. As part of her national-level participation, she also performed in a cultural programme at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of the President of India. In addition, she actively represented the NSS in the Swachh Bharat Rally Campaign, highlighting her commitment to community service and national development.
At the state level, Ms. Dhanashri, a second-year B.Sc. Information Technology student and NSS volunteer, represented the college in the Tamil Nadu State Republic Day Parade held on Marina Road in Chennai. Her participation reflected discipline, dedication and a strong sense of patriotism.
The college administration and NSS unit congratulated both volunteers for their exemplary performance and for bringing laurels to the institution through their service, commitment and participation at prestigious national and state events.
