Pulse Heartathon Promotes Heart Health in Coimbatore

The 5-km Pulse Heartathon, organised by Rotary District 3206 in association with SPT Hospitals, Rotary Club of Coimbatore, Indian Medical Association, Coimbatore and Coimbatore District Athletic Association,
was held in Coimbatore
with more than 2,000 participants.
The event began at SPT Hospitals, Ramnagar, and concluded at Nehru Stadium. Rotary District 3206 Governor Rtn. R. S. Maruti led the
flag-off, followed
by participation from 78 Rotary Club groups and Rotaractors.
The post-event programme was attended by Tamil Nadu Minister for Backward Classes Welfare V. Sampath Kumar, Rtn. R. S. Maruti, Dr. A. K. Ravikumar, President, IMA Tamil Nadu 2027, and K. Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, Emerald Group.
A World Heart Day awareness session was conducted by Rtn. Dr. Subburaja T., who stressed the importance of prevention, regular physical activity and awareness for maintaining heart health.
A Heart Health Village featuring five wellness zones—Know Your Heart, Move Your Heart, Feed Your Heart, Calm Your Heart and Save Your Heart—was organised.
A CPR demonstration was also conducted to create awareness about responding to cardiac emergencies.

and fellowship breakfast.
