The Second Pythian Cultural and Sports Competitions were held in Bengaluru District, Karnataka, at Bengaluru City University on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of November 2025.
Athletes from various states across the country enthusiastically participated in these events.
In the Tamil Nadu Sambo wrestling Team, players from Trichy, Kanchipuram, Virudhunagar, Theni, Salem, and Erode districts took part. Notably, Sambo wrestling athletes from Chennai District — Rajeshmithran, Naveenkumar, Vishnu, Thoothu Raj, Sam, Syed, Danish, Esakkimani, Rithish Kumar, Mohammed Mohammed, Dastageer, Sathyadarshan, Kishore, Sarvesh Mithran, and Monish Kannan — delivered an outstanding performance.
They secured 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals, marking a remarkable achievement.
The Secretary of the Indian Sambo wrestling Association, Ramsharma Ji, along with the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Sambo wrestling Association, Mohammed Anas Ji, extended their congratulations to the players. Chennai District Sambo wrestling Association Secretary Mahendra Kumar Ji also conveyed his gratitude to the athletes, their parents, and supporters.
