R.S. Maruti assumes charge as Rotary District 3206 Governor

Rotarian R.S. Maruti assumed charge as the District Governor of Rotary International District 3206 for the 2026-27 Rotary year at an installation ceremony held in Coimbatore on Sunday.
The ceremony was attended by Kumaraguru Institutions Chairman Rtn. B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar and Excel Group of Companies Chairman Rtn. AKS Muruganandham, who is also the Vice-President of Rotary International for 2026-27, as chief guests. The event was hosted by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity and witnessed the participation of Rotarians from various clubs across District 3206.
Addressing the gathering, R.S. Maruti announced that Rotary District 3206 would adopt more than 100 villages and implement development projects aimed at improving rural infrastructure and community welfare. He said the district would also focus on women empowerment, creating a drug-free Coimbatore, environmental conservation and several other community service initiatives during the year.
Speaking on the occasion, B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar said Rotary’s service activities continue to play a vital role in addressing society’s needs and appreciated the vision of the new District Governor and the newly installed office-bearers for their commitment to public service.
Outgoing District Governor Chella Ragavendhran, District Learning Facilitator Rajasekhar Srinivasan, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity President Mohammad Shafi, Secretary Karthikeyan and Event Chairman Brijesh also participated in the function. Rotarians from various clubs under District 3206 attended the installation ceremony.
