Superstar Rajinikanth has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 56th Goa International Film Festival, marking his 50 years in Indian cinema.
The award recognises Rajinikanth’s remarkable contribution to the film industry since his debut in Apoorva Raagangal in 1975, directed by legendary filmmaker K. Balachander. Over five decades, Rajinikanth has risen to become one of India’s most iconic and influential stars, celebrated for his unique style, humility and massive fan following.
Festival organisers said the award celebrates his exceptional career and enduring impact on Indian cinema.
