An “Honesty Shop” initiative was organised at Billabong High International School in Moolakulam by the Rotary Club of Pondy French City on Wednesday to inculcate the value of integrity among students.
The project aimed to reinforce the principle that one must remain honest even when no one is watching. The concept encourages children to purchase items and pay voluntarily without supervision, fostering self-discipline and moral responsibility.
Mr. Thomas Arockiaraj, Chairman of the Planning Committee, attended as the chief guest. Assistant Governor (Zone 4) Dr. Arun Deepanchan, school principal Mr. Arockiaraj and Puducherry-based artist Janakiraman were present.
Club President Parimalam presided over the function. Former President Devaraj, Treasurer Udhayasankar and several members participated.
Project Chairman Jayakumaran coordinated the arrangements. The school principal, Mr. Arockiaraj, delivered the vote of thanks.
