Seminar on Opportunities for Higher Studies in Waseda University, Japan

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Centre for Machine Learning and Intelligence (CML), and Avinashilingam Centre for International Education (ACIE), Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, successfully organized a Seminar on “Opportunities for Higher Studies in Waseda University, Japan” on 12.11.2025.
Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor presided over the function and spoke about the civilizational connections between India and Japan.
The keynote address was given by Dr. Shigeru Fujimura, Dean, School of information, Production, and Systems, Waseda University, Japan, in his address, he elaborated on the courses and academic procedures at Waseda University and MEXT scholarship. He also highlighted the University’s strong research opportunities and the wide range of openings available in the field of Information, Production, and Systems (OPS) Mr. Prasanna Parthasarathy, Founder of the Japan Tamil Professional Expat Network (JTPEN) and Global Sales Director at LTI Mindtree, Japan, gave an overview of the education system and career opportunities available in Japan. Dr. Thiru Jeevanandam, Chief Technology Officer (Retd.), Yokogawa Electric, Japan, explained the procedures and application process for admission to Waseda University.
