Simbu buys luxury villa near Ajith’s home

The trend of Indian film celebrities investing in luxury homes in Dubai continues to grow, with actor Silambarasan TR being the latest from the Tamil film industry to acquire a high-end property in the emirate.
Sources said the actor, popularly known as Simbu, has purchased a luxury villa in Dubai, located close to the residence of actor Ajith Kumar.
The villa is reportedly valued at around Rs. 57 crore. It is learnt that a well-known film producer has already paid an advance of Rs. 22 crore towards the property.
Several leading stars from the Tamil film industry, including Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, already own homes in Dubai.
Celebrities from Bollywood, Telugu and Malayalam cinema have also increasingly been investing in residential properties there.
Industry sources attribute the growing interest to Dubai’s proximity to India, with a flight time of around four hours from Chennai, and the lifestyle advantages it offers.
The city is seen as providing greater privacy, freedom of movement and ease of living for celebrities who often face intense public attention in India.
The steady rise in celebrity investments has further boosted Dubai’s image as a preferred international destination for luxury real estate among Indian film personalities.
