Actor Sivakarthikeyan visited the Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur along with his family and performed the traditional tonsure ceremony for his two sons, drawing attention among devotees and fans.
Sivakarthikeyan is currently basking in the success of his recent film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film features Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa and Sreeleela in key roles, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film was produced by Akash Bhaskaran under the Don Pictures banner, and also featured Basil Joseph, Rana Daggubati and Chethan in important roles.
Released during the Pongal festival in January, the film received positive critical and commercial response and reportedly crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office. The film is set to premiere on the Zee5 OTT platform on February 7. Amid this success, Sivakarthikeyan visited Tiruchendur to offer prayers.
During the visit, he fulfilled a religious vow by having his sons’ heads shaved as part of temple rituals. His wife Aarthi later shared photographs of the ceremony on her Instagram page, which quickly went viral on social media.
