Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has deleted all her wedding-related posts from social media after her planned wedding to music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed indefinitely following sudden health concerns in both families.
Mandhana and Palash were scheduled to get married in Sangli, Maharashtra, but the ceremony was put on hold after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a sudden health setback and had to be hospitalised.
Amid this, Palash Muchhal was also admitted to a hospital after his health deteriorated due to severe stress. His mother confirmed that he was placed on IV drips and underwent several tests, including an ECG. He has since been discharged and is recovering at home, but remains under emotional strain.
“The wedding had to be postponed. The situation has been very stressful for both families,” Palash’s mother told reporters, adding that the emotional pressure has affected the couple significantly.
Following these developments, observant fans noticed that Smriti Mandhana removed all her wedding photos and reels from Instagram and other platforms. Sources close to the families say the posts were deleted to prevent speculation and to maintain privacy until both families regain stability.
The wedding has now been postponed indefinitely, with no new date decided yet. Both families are currently focused on recovery and well-being before making further plans.
Messages of support have been pouring in from fans and the cricket fraternity, wishing Smriti’s father and Palash Muchhal a speedy recovery.
