Snake bite victim carries snake to hospital

In a dramatic incident in Kovur near Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, a young man who was bitten by a snake carried the reptile to a government hospital for identification before seeking treatment.
The youth was reportedly having food at a restaurant in the Kovur suburbs on Monday afternoon when a large snake that had entered the premises bit him.
In a swift reaction, he caught the snake and beat it to death. He then took the dead snake along with him to the Kovur Government Hospital.
The sight of the youth entering the hospital carrying the snake caused panic among staff and patients, who were startled by the unexpected scene.
After confirming that the snake was dead, doctors administered first aid and later referred him to the Government General Hospital in Nellore for further treatment.
The unusual episode created a flutter in the locality.
