Social Justice Day pledge observed in Coimbatore Collectorate

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of social reformer Father Periyar, a Social Justice Day pledge-taking ceremony was held today at the Coimbatore District Collectorate.

The programme was presided over by District Collector Mr. Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, IAS, who led the officials and staff in taking the pledge. Mrs. R. Manoranjitham, Assistant Director (District Administration), and Mrs. Niraimati, Personal Assistant to the Collector (General), along with several government officials and employees from various departments, participated in the event.

The pledge, read out by the District Collector, emphasised self-respect, rational thinking, equality, brotherhood, and social justice. Officials vowed to adopt compassion for all living beings and uphold humanity as their guiding principle in life.

The ceremony concluded with a collective affirmation to strive towards building an egalitarian society founded on the ideals of social justice.
