A 10-foot statue of legendary playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam was unveiled at the V.D. Pattathiripad Memorial in Palakkad district of Kerala, honouring his immense contribution to Indian music.
The statue was unveiled by Oscar-winning music composer M.M. Keeravani at a grand function held recently, attended by several prominent personalities from the film and music industry.
Renowned singers K.S. Chithra, Sujatha Mohan, Mano, Hariharan, Unni Menon, Srinivas, S.P.B. Charan and Madhu Balakrishnan participated in the event. Actor Y.G. Mahendran was also present.
S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, who recorded over 40,000 songs in multiple languages, continues to live on in the hearts of millions, with his timeless songs retaining their appeal across generations.
