Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RND OptimizAR Private Limited, Coimbatore, marking a key step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and promoting skill-based education.
The partnership aims to equip students with practical exposure and industry-relevant training aligned with the evolving needs of the information technology sector. Under the agreement, students will gain access to internships, guest lectures, specialised training programmes, live industry projects and placement opportunities.
The collaboration will also extend support to academic departments in curriculum design, ensuring that course content remains current and industry-focused. Close interaction with industry professionals is expected to foster innovation and enhance hands-on learning among students.
The MoU was signed by Dr Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust. Dr K Chitra, Principal of the institution, and Mr C Nandagopal, Deputy General Manager of RND OptimizAR, were present during the signing ceremony.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve the quality of education and boost the employability prospects of students.
