Continuing a remarkable legacy, an NSS volunteer from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, has been selected for the Republic Day Parade Camp 2026 in New Delhi, marking the 12th consecutive year that the institution has achieved representation at the national event.
S. Darshan, an NSS volunteer of the college, has been chosen for the prestigious Republic Day Parade Camp, an achievement reflecting discipline, commitment and leadership.
His selection underscores the sustained excellence of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science in promoting youth leadership and social service through the National Service Scheme.
A total of 14 NSS volunteers, comprising seven boys and eight girls, have been selected to represent Tamil Nadu at the Republic Day Parade Camp, New Delhi.
The selections were made from the Pre-Republic Day Selection Camp recently held in Kerala. The continued selection of NSS volunteers from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for 12 consecutive years has been described as a notable milestone, highlighting the institution’s consistent focus on character building, community service and national integration.
Dr. Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee, and Dr. B.L. Shivakumar, Principal and Secretary of the college, congratulated S. Darshan and appreciated the efforts of NSS Programme Officers Dr. S. Prahadeeshwaran, Dr. R. Nagaraj and Mrs. Subashani for their guidance and commitment.
