Stanes Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School conducted its Investiture Ceremony with dignity and enthusiasm on Saturday, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026-27 and entrusting them with leadership responsibilities.
The ceremony began with an opening prayer led by the School Head Girl, followed by a Bible reading by the CCA Captain. The school choir rendered the school song, creating an atmosphere of pride and unity.

Dr. James J. Gnanadoss, Honorary Treasurer, and Dr. Sucheeta Ramachandran, Governing Board Member, were the chief guests for the function. They were welcomed by P. A. John Stephen, Principal of Stanes Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, in the presence of parents, teachers and students.
The newly elected Student Council members were formally invested with badges by Dr. James J. Gnanadoss and Dr. Sucheeta Ramachandran, symbolising the assumption of their leadership roles and responsibilities. Following the investiture, the Student council members took the oath, pledging to uphold the values and traditions of the institution and discharge their duties with dedication, sincerity and commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. James J. Gnanadoss described leadership as a God-given responsibility and urged the student leaders to use their authority wisely, serve sincerely and contribute positively to the institution through dedicated service.
In her address, Dr. Sucheeta Ramachandran stressed the importance of lifelong learning and reminded the student leaders that their badges represented responsibility rather than privilege. She said the badge should serve as a mirror reflecting their abilities and leadership qualities, and encouraged them to choose what is right over what is easy while leading with integrity, humility and sincerity.
P.A.John Stephen congratulated the newly elected Student council members and expressed confidence that they would uphold the rich traditions and values of the school through responsible leadership and service.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the School Head Boy. The event marked a proud moment for the institution and inspired the young leaders to carry out their responsibilities with a strong sense of duty and commitment towards the school community.
