The Department of Special Education, of Avinashilingam Institute in partnership with the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), launched a two-day State-Level Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme on “Innovative Pedagogical Approaches and Effective Teaching-Learning” today. The programme, approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi, is being held from November 15 to 16.
Dr. K. Sambath Rani, Professor, Department of Special Education, delivered the inaugural address, while Dr. R. Shanthi, Head (i/c), extended a warm welcome to the participants.
A total of 51 professionals from across Tamil Nadu, working in various rehabilitation sectors, are attending the programme. The sessions aim to enhance expertise in special education by providing exposure to innovative pedagogical practices, evidence-based teaching strategies, and effective teaching–learning approaches tailored to diverse learners.
Dr. S. Saradha Priyadarshini, Assistant Professor, Department of Special Education, NIEPMD, and Organizing Secretary of the programme, delivered the vote of thanks.
