The 49th Chennai Book Fair witnessed a notable moment with the release of a thriller novel authored by a school student, drawing attention from literary circles and visitors alike.
“The Night Journey Fantasy”, written by S. Deena, also known as Deenadayalan, a Class 9 student of P.V.M. Global School, Bengaluru, was officially released at the fair, marking a proud milestone for the young author.
The book release event was held in the presence of chief guest Praveen Kumar, comedian, along with Babasi president R.S. Shanmugam and vice-president Nakkheeran Gopal. The dignitaries lauded the student’s creativity and encouraged young talents to pursue writing alongside academics. Awards were presented and the author was felicitated during the function.
Deena’s parents, Suresh and Aruna, along with school administrators and well-wishers, were present on the occasion and shared the joy of the student’s achievement.
The release added a special highlight to the ongoing Chennai Book Fair, underlining the platform’s role in nurturing and celebrating emerging literary talent at a young age.
