PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (KCW) inaugurated its Students’ Forum for the academic year 2026–2027 on Thursday. Sivakumar Ganesan, Vice President, Veranda Learning Solutions Limited, inaugurated the forum as the chief guest. Dr. R. Nandini, Chairperson, GRG Educational Institutions, Dr. N. Yesodha Devi, Secretary, and Dr. P. B. Harathi, Principal, were present.
Addressing the students, Sivakumar Ganesan congratulated the newly elected forum members and appreciated the college’s academic excellence and industry collaborations. He said India’s economic liberalisation had expanded career opportunities and urged students to explore careers beyond conventional fields, including arts, commerce, humanities and liberal arts.
He emphasised the importance of communication, critical thinking, writing, presentation skills, digital and data literacy, informed decision-making and lifelong learning to meet changing industry demands. He encouraged students to remain confident, continuously upgrade their skills and prepare for interdisciplinary careers.
Dr. P. B. Harathi administered the oath to the newly elected Students’ Forum members.
Earlier, Dr. R. Nandini, in her welcome address, said the inauguration marked a significant beginning to the academic year and reflected the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, women’s empowerment and leadership development. She highlighted the college’s legacy of over seven decades in nurturing women with knowledge, integrity and confidence.
