Actor-director Sundar C filed his nomination papers for the Madurai Central Assembly constituency on Saturday as a candidate of the New Justice Party, an ally in the National Democratic Alliance.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on April 23, with nomination filing gathering pace across all 234 constituencies.
The Madurai Central seat has been allotted to the New Justice Party under the seat-sharing arrangement led by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the NDA.
Sundar C filed his nomination in the presence of his wife Khushbu, who is also contesting the elections on behalf of the alliance.
