Sundar C Steps Down From Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan Film

In a major development that has surprised Kollywood, director Sundar C has announced his withdrawal from ‘Thalaivar 173’, the high-profile project starring Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal Haasan. The unexpected exit has left fans disappointed across the Tamil film industry.
In an emotional statement, Sundar C said he was compelled to step away due to “unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.”
“It is with a heavy heart that I have taken the difficult decision to walk out of ‘Thalaivar 173’. Working with Rajinikanth sir and Kamal Haasan sir was truly a dream come true,” he said.
Reflecting on the decision, he added, “Life sometimes pushes us onto paths we never intended to take, even if it means moving away from our dreams. My association with these two legends began many years ago. Though I am stepping back from this opportunity, I will continue to seek their guidance.”
He closed his statement by thanking both stars “from the bottom of his heart” for considering him for such a prestigious film.
The production house is yet to announce the new director for the project.
