Ms. S. Induja, a third-year B.Sc. Textiles student of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPISTM), has made the institution proud by winning First Place in the NSF Pro Lift Bench Press and Deadlift Championship held at Anndham Haveli, Palwal, Haryana, on November 22 and 23.
Competing in the 57 kg Junior Women category, Induja—an active member of the Amateur Powerlifting Association—delivered a remarkable performance that earned her the national championship title. Her win marks a significant milestone not only for her sporting career but also for the college, which has been encouraging students to excel in diverse fields.
College authorities noted that Induja’s achievement will serve as a strong motivation for more young women to take up powerlifting, sports and fitness, and pursue competitive excellence with confidence.
