Tata Motors Expands XPRES Line-Up With Petrol And CNG Variants

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles on Thursday expanded its XPRES fleet portfolio with the launch of petrol and twin-cylinder CNG variants, aiming to cater to a wider segment of professional fleet operators across the country.
The XPRES Petrol and CNG variants have been introduced at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 5.59 lakh for the petrol version and Rs. 6.59 lakh for the CNG version. With this launch, Tata Motors has extended the XPRES brand beyond the XPRES EV, reinforcing its multi-powertrain strategy for the fleet market.
Powered by the proven 1.2-litre Revotron engine and offered with a manual transmission, the new XPRES variants are designed for durability, reliability and high-uptime commercial usage. The XPRES CNG features a first-in-segment 70-litre water-capacity twin-cylinder CNG tank, the highest in its category, enabling extended driving range without frequent refuelling. The twin-cylinder layout also ensures uncompromised boot space, addressing a key concern of fleet operators. The petrol variant offers the largest boot space in its segment at 419 litres.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said the XPRES range was developed to address real-world challenges faced by fleet owners and drivers. He said the addition of petrol and CNG variants, supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance solutions and dedicated fleet dealerships, would offer a future-ready mobility platform and help expand Tata Motors’ presence in the commercial mobility segment.
To enhance operator confidence, the XPRES Petrol and CNG variants come with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to five years or 1,80,000 km. The models also offer a low maintenance cost of Rs. 0.47 per km, making them cost-effective for high-usage applications.
Tata Motors has also introduced exclusive fleet-focused dealerships in select cities to provide dedicated sales and service support, faster turnaround and consistent lifecycle assistance. With petrol, CNG and electric options now available, the XPRES fleet range is expected to find strong demand in segments such as airport transfers, cab aggregation, intercity travel, employee transport, rental services and tourist taxi operations.
